Madden NFL ’94 (SNES) SNES
About Madden NFL ’94 (SNES)
Madden NFL ’94 (SNES) is Electronic Arts’ November 1993 release for the platform, developed by Visual Concepts as a separate build from the Genesis version released the same day. It was the first Madden entry to secure real NFL team licenses, though players are still identified only by jersey number since the game lacked an NFLPA player-likeness license.
Visual Concepts used the SNES’s Mode 7 scaling hardware to spin the field between downs and possession changes, a visual flourish the Genesis version couldn’t replicate, giving the SNES edition a distinct look despite sharing the same John-Madden-consulted playbook and rules as its sibling release.
