HOMEBREW SPOTLIGHT
The Homebrew Scene
Long after Nintendo stopped making NES hardware, an independent community of programmers kept writing new games for it — some as tech demos, some as full releases with box art and manuals. Every title on this page is self-hosted here with the developer's explicit permission, under a license we've read and verified. Nothing here is emulated third-party content; we host the actual game file ourselves.
All five titles currently featured here were written by Damian Yerrick (pineight.com), a long-time contributor to the NESdev community also known for technical writing on 8-bit graphics and audio programming. See our Sourcing & Preservation Policy for how we vet every title before publishing it.
