Romance of the Three Kingdoms II SNES

Romance of the Three Kingdoms II is Koei’s sequel, released in Japan in September 1991 and in North America in May 1992, expanding the original’s scope to let players work through multiple historical scenarios spanning different points in the Three Kingdoms period rather than a single fixed starting position.

It refines the series’ city-management and officer-recruitment systems with more detailed stats and a larger roster of historical generals to recruit or face in battle, while keeping the turn-based structure of managing territory and resources before committing to large-scale confrontations. Its scenario-based structure became a recurring feature the series kept building on in later numbered entries.
