Castlevania Legends GAMEBOY
About Castlevania Legends
Castlevania Legends is Konami’s 1997 Game Boy entry, introducing Sonia Belmont as the series’ first playable woman and, in its original story framing, an ancestor placed before Simon Belmont at the start of the family’s vampire-hunting line. It follows the same whip-and-subweapon platforming structure as the rest of the series’ 8-bit and handheld entries.
Releasing late in the original Game Boy’s life, well after the Game Boy Color had already launched, it was something of a swan song for the monochrome hardware. Konami later removed it from the series’ official timeline entirely in subsequent canon revisions, making it one of the few Castlevania games the company itself no longer considers part of continuity.
