The Lion King SNES
About The Lion King
The Lion King is a 1994 platformer based on the Disney film, developed by Westwood Studios and published by Virgin Interactive. You play as Simba, first as a cub and then as an adult, as he grows up and returns to reclaim Pride Rock from Scar.
Young Simba roars and pounces on enemies, while adult Simba slashes, throws and mauls. Levels recreate scenes from the movie, including the wildebeest stampede and the elephant graveyard. Its beautiful hand-drawn animation was done with Disney animators, and its high difficulty is also well remembered.
