Castlevania II: Belmont’s Revenge GAMEBOY

Castlevania II: Belmont’s Revenge is Konami’s 1991 Game Boy sequel to Castlevania: The Adventure, released in Japan as Dracula Densetsu II in July 1991 and in the West that August. You play Christopher Belmont again, this time rescuing his kidnapped son Soleiyu from Dracula across four side-scrolling stages full of classic series enemies and platforming hazards.

It refines the stiffer, single-jump-height movement of the first Game Boy Castlevania with more forgiving controls and a wider sub-weapon selection, closer in feel to the NES series than its predecessor. Composer Hidehiro Funauchi’s soundtrack and the game’s tighter, better-paced stage design made it a clear improvement over The Adventure, and it’s often cited as the better of the two original Game Boy Castlevania entries.
