Contra NES

Contra is Konami's 1987 run-and-gun, released in arcades and then on the NES in 1988. Commandos Bill Rizer and Lance Bean are sent to an island to destroy an alien force called Red Falcon.

You run, jump and shoot through jungle, waterfall and enemy base stages, with some sections switching to a behind-the-back view. Weapons like the famous Spread Gun can be picked up along the way. One hit costs you a life, but the Konami Code gives you 30 lives, and the two-player co-op is the best way to play.
