Ninja Gaiden NES
About Ninja Gaiden
Ninja Gaiden is Tecmo's 1988 action platformer for the NES. After his father is killed in a duel, the ninja Ryu Hayabusa travels to America, where he uncovers a plot involving an ancient demon.
Ryu slashes enemies with his Dragon Sword, uses ninja arts like throwing stars and fire wheels, and clings to walls to climb. It was one of the first console games to tell its story through cinematic cutscenes between stages. Its tough challenge, especially the final bosses, made it legendary.
