About Cybernator
Cybernator is NCS's 1992 mech action game for the Super NES, released in Japan as Assault Suits Valken and published in North America by Konami. You pilot an armored assault suit as Jake Brain in a war between the Pacific Union and the Axis, fighting through space stations, battleships and planetary bases.
Your mech can dash, shield against incoming fire and level up its weapons by collecting power chips, giving combat a weighty, tactical feel. The story unfolds in real time through radio chatter during missions — an ambitious touch for the era — and the game is still praised for its detailed sprites and atmospheric presentation.
