About The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages is Nintendo and Flagship’s 2001 Game Boy Color entry, developed alongside its companion game Oracle of Seasons as a linked pair — passwords entered between the two games unlock an extended combined story and exclusive content in each. This entry centers on time travel, letting Link shift between past and present versions of the same world to solve puzzles.
Built on the same engine as Link’s Awakening, its puzzle design leans further into item-based logic than the more action-heavy Oracle of Seasons, its linked companion title. The two-game linking system was an ambitious structural experiment for a handheld Zelda release, rewarding players who owned and completed both halves of the pair with content neither game offered on its own.
