About Aladdin
Disney's Aladdin for the Super NES is Capcom's 1993 platformer based on the animated film. Directed by Shinji Mikami, who later created Resident Evil, it follows Aladdin and Abu from the streets of Agrabah to the Cave of Wonders and Jafar's palace.
Unlike the Genesis version, Capcom's Aladdin doesn't use a sword. Instead you jump on enemies, throw apples and swing from poles and ropes, and you can open a cloth to glide slowly down from high places. Its smooth animation, tight controls and magic carpet escape stages made it one of Capcom's best-selling SNES games.
