Three Wonders ARCADE
About Three Wonders
Three Wonders is Capcom’s July 1991 arcade release, known in Japan as Wonder 3, bundling three unrelated games on one board rather than shipping a single title. The centerpiece is Midnight Wanderers, a side-scrolling action-platformer following a hobbit named Lou and his companion Siva battling a villain who’s turning their people into wooden statues.
The other two games take the same cast in different directions: Chariot is a horizontal shoot-’em-up with the Midnight Wanderers characters piloting flying chariots, while Don’t Pull is a block-pushing puzzle game starring a separate pink bunny and squirrel duo. Bundling three distinct genres on a single arcade board was an unusual value proposition for 1991, making it as much a genre sampler as a single cohesive game.
